Please, contain the weeping and moaning. I know you’ve all been tremendously sad at my recent absence from the blogosphere, but the long, dark night of your mourning is now over and the sun is breaking through. I’ve been out of town a couple of times over the last couple of weeks, so I’ve just let this here corner of the Internet sit idle. You can now do away with your paralyzing grief and resume your regularly scheduled lives.
So where have I been? Cleveland and New York. Specifically, at the Cleveland Indians ballpark for Opening Day and on the 50th floor of the McGraw-Hill building in New York City. It actually turned out pretty well because they got me on another flight fairly quickly, but it’s always an adventure.
One video for you today — check out Shaquille O’Neal trying to get to a loose ball about a month ago. He’s heading out-of-bounds, directly towards his own bench. His teammates scatter when they see 7’1” and 325 lbs heading for them. It’s hilarious — usually your teammates will try to catch you, but this time they wanted no part of Shaq. This was just a couple of days after he dove into the stands for a loose ball, so they knew he might crush them. It’s funnier on the replay. Watch them all laughing afterwards:
